SARAH KNIGHT

Sarah Knight (they/them) is an artist and educator living and working in Saint Louis, Missouri. They grew up in the San Francisco Bay area where they received their BFA from Mills College (2013). They graduated with an MFA from Washington University in Saint Louis (2020). Knight was recently the Whitaker Foundation Artist-in-Residence at Craft Alliance in Saint Louis and their work has been shown regionally, digitally, and nationally. Their current work focuses on the reorientation and highlighting of fragmentary queer narratives and identity. Their practice hinges on the material properties of melting stone, warping ceramics, and bridging painting, land art, and sculpture. Knight’s work displays excavated relationships between process, material, mythology, identity, and alchemical queerness.
